    Blackpink’s Lisa Signs Solo Deal With RCA Records: What Does It Mean For The Band?

    After achieving mega-success with her singles ‘Money’ and ‘Lisa’, the rapper of Blackpink‘s Lisa has signed with RCA Records for solo records, the parties announced on Wednesday, April 10. Through the agreement, which is a collaboration between Lisa and RCA’s creative firm and management of LLOUD Co., she will be able to keep ownership of her master recordings.

    Talking bout the new partnership, the singer stated, “I’m super excited to be joining the RCA family, and I am confident they are the best team to create a bigger movement in my solo career. Looking forward to showing the world everything we have been preparing.” However, she will continue working under Interscope records for Blackpink.

    Apart from her singing prowess, the singer is also joining the cast for HBO Max’sThe White Lotus.’ It’s unclear if Blackpink will continue as a band or not, but nevertheless, Lisa can be expected to have a striving career in music, solo.

    Is Blackpink Going To Disband?


    There have been reports of the band not moving forward as a whole, especially after Jennie announced a new label called OA, and now Lisa has joined RCA Records. According to YG Entertainment though, the members have renewed their contracts to work as a band but might move forward with individual labels for their solo careers.

    In Hollywood, Blackpink has received significant success with chart-topping hits, and collaborations with artists like Selena Gomez and Cardi B.

    Apart from that, Lisa has worked with DJ Snake, while Jennie made headlines after starring with The Weeknd in ‘The Idol‘. After Jennie and Jisoo have successful careers in acting, Lisa will be the next to hit the screen with ‘White Lotus‘.
