Sabrina Carpenter‘s popularity shot up significantly after her hit single ‘Espresso‘, and since then, she hasn’t looked back. As she continues to dominate the top spots of music charts with both her singles, her potential fame and success is being associated with that of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift.
Carpenter, however has a few signature things to herself. Her iconic blonde mane with bangs is one, and her sparkly coquette heart styled collection of outfits is another. But she is mostly known on stage for her raunchy outros to one of her biggest hits ‘Nonsense‘ where she custom writes a different outro for every performance she does. Ever since they saw the light of the day, most of them have gone viral. Here’s how Sabrina Carpenter is addressing the labels she has started receiving along with her spicy lyrics.
Sabrina Carpenter Addresses Her ‘Nonsense’ Outros
As she sat down to create her own self portrait with Vanity Fair, Sabrina Carpenter addressed a certain assumption fans make about her based on her raunchy lyrics, specially in ‘Nonsense‘. The pop star said, “I think over the last year I’ve heard from a lot of people like, ‘Wow, she’s just like the horniest girl alive’ because sometimes in my songs I say some crazy things on stage. But I’m actually a very normal amount of horny.”

This however, isn’t the first time the artist has addressed her sultry lyrics for the song’s outro. Back in April she spoke to Cosmopolitan and said, “I feel like I’ve learned a lot more about sexuality through writing [the outros] than people think. I think people think I’m just obnoxiously horny when in reality, writing them comes from the ability to not be fearful of your sexuality as opposed to just not being able to put it down.”

What’s Next For Sabrina Carpenter?
The 25-year-old star is basking in the glory of her success as her singles ‘Espresso‘ and ‘Please Please Please’ continue to dominate charts and social media. Apart from that, she is currently the 11th most listened to artist on Spotify, jumping more than two hundred spots since her last album.
As for her personal life, she’s enjoying sweet romance with actor Barry Keoghan, who was recently featured in her ‘Please Please Please’ music video, making it the hard launch of their relationship.
Furthermore, Carpenter is all set to start her tour for ‘Sweet N Short’, her sixth album that just released tour dates for North America. The album is highly anticipated as fans wait for more brain scratching music from the pop star and is most likely to be a huge success. She is also being surrounded with Grammy buzz, particularly for ‘Espresso‘ which many have declared the song of the summer.
