Taylor Swift has surpassed 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, making her the first female artist to achieve this. Through X, the music streaming service Spotify announced the news on Tuesday. Months before, she had released ‘Speak Now‘ (Taylor’s Version), which not only earned Swift the achievement of being the first female artist to have four albums simultaneously in the top 10 of Billboard’s album chart, but it also debuted at No. 1 and topped the Billboard 200. She is now the third artist in history to have achieved this.
Overall, Swift is second on the list of listeners, admitting defeat to The Weeknd who has around 109 million monthly listeners. The Weeknd also showed his support for Taylor by posting this on his Instagram story with a congratulatory emoji.
