In the new Netflix series ‘Griselda’, Sofia Vergara looks so different, but to achieve that different look, a lot went on behind the scenes. However, when Kelly Clarkson tried to downplay it, Sofia did not lose the opportunity to tell her that it wasn’t an easy feat!
During the recent episode of ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, Sofia Vergara appeared to promote her recent project, ‘Griselda’. Kelly told Sofia about her look, saying, “This is incredible…I feel like they only changed your nose or something.” In shock, Vergara replied, “What?” When the host tried to explain her point, the actress said, “Are you crazy?”
Kelly continued, “Whatever they did though, it looks slight.” While Kelly continued to point out small details and changes, it agitated the ‘Machete Kills’ actress more. “It was a wig! Shut up. It was a wig. It was a lot!”
As they laughed over it, Vergara added, “They did a lot to me! It was teeth. It was wig. It was nose. It was plastic from her to here.” Clarkson credited the hairstylists and makeup artists for doing “a good job” as “it looks seamless.”

The Actress Talks About How She Transformed Into The Character
For the longest time, Sofia Vergara played characters closer to home, and she did not have to go through any transformation. However, for ‘Griselda’, Sofia had to do prosthetics and get the characterization of Griselda Blanco right.
During an interview with Digital Spy, Vergara said, “I was trying to change as much as I could without looking like I was in a Halloween costume. I would wear a bra that was minimizing me and holding my butt so that it wouldn’t move like a Latin girl.”
She added, “I put myself in a body position for six months that, the only time that I didn’t go to work was because I got up in the morning and my back, I couldn’t get up because I was at 50 doing this weird position walking and smoking.” Despite the physical strain, Sofia said that playing the character was worth it.
