The rise and fall of the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker are one of the core narratives of ‘Star Wars‘. The Chosen one was born to a slave Shmi Skywalker and got transported to the desert of Tatooine to be the property of Gardulla the Hutt, the lord of the desert. However, fate had something else in store for him after his encounter with Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Amidala. He was liberated from enslavement and accompanied them to Coruscant, and gained the title of “Chosen One” from Obi-Wan Kenobi, a disciple of Jinn. Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader was the consequence of the Clone Wars.
During the War, Palpatine lured Anakin toward the Darkside of Force. This led to the fall of the Jedi Order and Palpatine establishing the Galactic Empire with Darth Vader. Though the fact that Anakin is Vader is unknown to many, certain characters are aware of the dark truth.

‘Star Wars’ Character That Knew Darth Vader’s Real Identity
1. Emperor Palpatine
It is the most obvious fact that the creator knows the creation. It was Emperor Palpatine who gave birth to Lord Vader in Star Wars. The Sith Lord gave him the title of the ‘Darth Vader.’ The already mysterious Anakin Skywalker had the perception continued even during his Dark Force period.
Whether Palpatine kept the identity discreet or not is a question, but the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi show indicates that the Inquisitors may know the secret of the former Jedi and his association with Obi-Wan Kenobi due to their hunting spree of the Jedi survivors after the Order 616.
2. Master Yoda
One of the witnesses to the decline of the Jedi Council is Master Yoda. There is uncertainty over Yoda’s knowledge of the truth about Anakin Skywalker. This is because if Kenobi himself discovers the truth a decade later, he can’t know about the same. However, it is Master Yoda who discloses the truth to Luke Skywalker when he asks about Darth Vader. So, the future shows have to tell Yoda’s journey of the discovery of the truth.

3. Obi-Wan Kenobi
The other one is the survivor of Jinn’s legacy, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Again, he did not know about Skywalker’s truth until an Inquisitor with grand ambitions, Reva The Third Sister, hints at it. She appears right after the decade of Jedi Purge. He believed that the Chosen One did not survive the Clone Wars after reaching Mustafar. But, he is petrified after knowing the survival of Darth Vader.
4. Ahsoka Tano
The agent of the Rebel Alliance, Ahsoka Tano was earlier the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. During her confrontation with Vader, she comes to know the shocking secret about her Jedi master. When The Jedi Council expels her, Anakin puts his faith in her. However, at the Jedi Temple of Lothal, Tano comes to know the truth that Anakin is Darth Vader.
5. Bail Organa
The political figure and a revolutionary in Alderaan, Bail Organa worked in the Galactic Senate before its transformation into the Galactic Empire. A loyalist and diplomat, he communicated with Amidala for a peaceful resolution of the three-year war. Even after the fall of the Jedi Empire, he served at the Galactic Senate of the Empire secretly constructing a rebellion.
He played a huge role in the functioning of the Rebel Alliance during his stint with the Empire. Along with his wife, he took Leia, the daughter of Amidala and Jedi Anakin into his wings. So, closely working with the empire and adopting Anakin aka Darth Vader’s daughter makes him one amongst the others to know the truth about Darth Vader.
