But, the couple liked their company and they eventually got married in 2018 at St. George Chapel in Windsor Castle. A Royal Insider Claimed That Meghan Markle Wanted To Be The Beyoncé Of The UK
In October 2022, The Times correspondent, Valentine Low released a new book ‘Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind The Crown’. Before the release, he gave a teaser with small snippets in the book on what happens behind the curtains of the Royal Family.
In the book, one of the insiders told him what Meghan Markle wanted to achieve with her marriage to Prince Harry. The insider told Low, “I think Meghan thought she was going to be the Beyoncé of the UK. Being part of the Royal Family would give her the kudos”.
The insider continued, “Whereas what she discovered was that there were so many rules that were so ridiculous that she couldn’t even do the things that she could do as a private individual, which is tough”. Valentine Low was the one to bring forth the bullying that Markle faced in the walls of the Royal Family.

Valentine Low Claimed That The Duchess Of Sussex Liked The Attention
There were many claims made in Valentine’s royal exposé ‘Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind The Crown’. Like before the ‘Megxit’, no one closer to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle knew about their plans. The staff was unaware of the plan that they have chalked to step back from their royal roles. He wrote, “their escape plans were already laid, amid the greatest secrecy”. He also alleged that the Royal Palace was in cahoots to push down the couple with their decision to depart from the family.
In an interview with Fox News, Low said, “I think they [Royal Family] felt she wanted the stardom, she wanted the adulation”. He continued that Meghan was “less interested in cutting ribbons, opening hospitals, and doing all the frankly boring things that members of the royal family often have to do. She liked the stardom. She liked the attention. Meghan failed to understand the point of all those walkabouts, shaking hands with countless strangers.”
