As King Charles almost nears his reign as the United Kingdom’s monarch, the King has voiced a few last wishes he wants to work on, especially his relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s kids, Archie and Lilibet.
Charles has had a distant relationship with the young royal members of the family because of his strained relationship with Harry and Meghan. Here’s what the King wishes to work on regarding his relationship with his young grandkids.

King Charles Is ‘Keen’ To Work On His Relationship With Archie And Lilibet
The royal King is “not content” with the present distance between him and his two grandchildren who live in the United States, and he is “keener than ever” to strengthen their bond, according to reports.
Archie, age five, and Lilibet, age three, apparently have had limited interaction with Charles as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, moved to California a year after Archie was born. The King has apparently seen the kids a few times and, given his current cancer diagnosis, wants to “make up for lost time” even though he reportedly chats to them via video call but wishes to work more on their relationship, according to The Mirror.
The source added, “The King is absolutely committed to being present in all of his grandchildren’s lives. He values family above everything and whatever the course of his relationship with his son he would never be content with just seeing his grandchildren on the odd video call.”

How Is King Charles’ Relationship With Harry And Meghan Now?
After Harry and Meghan’s retirement from their royal responsibilities in 2020, King Charles’ relationship with his youngest son has become tense in recent years. The strained relationship was further exacerbated after Harry released his memoir ‘Spare’ where he gave out a lot of details regarding his life with the Royal Family that they were not very pleased to see out in the open.
However, after Charles’ cancer diagnosis was made public earlier this year, Harry travelled to be by his father’s side, but reports have added that the Duke still has limited interactions with the monarch.
It can now be hoped that the Duke and the King’s relationship will see significant changes considering Charles’ desire to work on his relationship with the family.
