Prince Harry did not spare the royal family when he went on a spree to expose the ill-treatment he and his wife, Meghan Markle, received. The couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and migrated to the US to live a life free from media intrusion and the stringent and orthodox royal family. Harry and Meghan went unplugged during the Oprah Winfrey interview, which created a rift between them and the royal family.

However, the last nail in the coffin was the Duke of Sussex’s memoir, ‘Spare,’ which complicated his relationship with the royal family. However, in both of his controversial content pieces, Prince Harry did not mention his aunt, Princess Anne. Princess Royal has been admittedly fond of Harry, but she is also angry at the ex-royal.
Princess Anne Is Furious At Prince Harry For Upsetting Queen Elizabeth II
A royal expert, Jennie Bond, talked to OK! about the only ally that Prince Harry has in the royal family after they ousted him. During the coronation of King Charles III, Princess Anne was the only close royal member to have had a conversation with Prince Harry.
Talking about the coronation banter, Jennie Bond said, “The Coronation was a very public event and Harry was there where she was going to be sitting right in front of him with that red plume in her hat that was going to obscure his view.”
Jennie Bond explained, “It was entirely natural to stop and chat with her nephew with whom, I think, she got on pretty well over the years, rather than cause some kind of public scene.”
However, Princess Anne is upset at Prince Harry for maligning the royal family in public, especially his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. She continued, “It was better to be amiable but I am quite sure that deep down Anne has been absolutely furious with Harry for upsetting her mother, his grandmother, so much in her last years.”
The royal expert added, “And for all the allegations he’s made, I’m sure she’ll be very unhappy with them, but this was neither the time nor place to discuss all that, so … they look very relaxed together.” Princess Royal, as per Bond’s admission, is furious because Prince Harry discredits her hard work by washing the family’s dirty linen in public.

Anne Resonates With Harry As She Is Also A Second Child
Princess Anne assumed the role of head of the Marines after Prince Harry stepped back from her duties. She was an apt choice to continue with the role as she served in the Royal Navy. After her interaction with her nephew during the coronation, it is clear that she may still be fond of Harry. A royal insider’s confession backs up the fact that she still has a soft spot for the Duke of Sussex.
The royal insider said, “The Princess Royal has always had a soft spot for Harry, and they both have a wicked sense of humor. People talk about Prince Andrew being the Spare, but Anne was the second-born, too, and particularly since Diana died, has always felt a duty to support her nephew. Both Anne and Harry have a great sense of humor and more in common than it might seem.”
