It’s one where love transcends time and space(literary), with passion knowing no bounds.

This Starz’s adaptation of author Diana Gabaldon’s bestseller ‘Outlander’ has got fans obsessed. Now we have ‘Outlander’ themed Halloween, food, parties and weddings. Do you remember Jamie and Claire’s beautiful wedding? What a surreal experience watching two of the most magnificent humans, dressed in embodied art tying the eternal knot with a promise of ‘I Do’. You don’t? Let us refresh that memory.

Okay, let’s set the scene, we’ve got Claire Randall, our time-traveling heroine from the 1940s. Claire is a war nurse who served in the Second World War and was honeymooning when she was sucked into the time-channeling stones and landed 200 years in the past. Now in 18th century Scotland, she finds herself stranded and alone, until the smoldering Scottish hunk of the highlands laid his eyes on her. From the moment these two locked eyes, it was settled that this was a match made in book heaven.

Now trying to find her way back to her awaiting husband Frank from the rugged terrains of 1743 Scotland, she finds herself falling head over heels for Jamie Fraser. And can we blame her? I mean, have you seen those curls? It’s like Sam Heughan was handcrafted by the TV gods themselves for playing Jamie. The love story of the time-crossed lovers took its course and a marriage of convenience soon knocked on the door, what else could these two do but comply?

Now straight to the good stuff, the wedding! Draw an image in your head filled with kilts, bagpipes, and a whole lot of Highland charm. In Season 1, Episode 7, aptly titled ‘The Wedding,’ Claire and Jamie finally tie the knot in an ethereal ceremony that’ll have you reaching for the tissues. And dear gods that dress! Did you see that wedding dress? Work of art indeed but it’s not just the embroidery of it that captures the hearts it’s Jamie, who spends all his money on making sure his bride wears the best he can offer. I’m not even going to start about the iron ring he got made for her and what happened in America when Bonnet stole it.

Let’s focus on the good kind of bonnets, the ones we wear at a wedding, and just so happens, we’re talking about a particularly interesting one right now. Jamie and Sassenech’s wedding wasn’t an ordinary one. Oh no, this is Outlander we’re talking about, where every moment is as epic as Claire’s second wedding night. Needless to say, she forgot Frank quickly enough.

Claire and Jamie’s wedding may be a fictional affair, but the feels it gives us are oh-so-real. So, the next time you find yourself craving a dose of romance and adventure, just remember: Outlander has got you covered. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be rewatching ‘The Wedding’ for the umpteenth time in a poor attempt at manifesting my own Scottish Highlander. Cheers to love, kilts, and all things ‘Outlander‘!
