The Boys’ has been one of the top drivers of repeat traffic to Prime Video for years. The merciless comic book spoof went beyond being a comic adaptation and became the platform’s identity.

With the series coming to a close, many fans believed that Prime Video would not be able to match that chaotic vibe. However, the streaming service already has several good options, surprisingly.

‘Invincible’ And ‘Spider-Noir’ Bring Completely Different Strengths

With ‘Invincible’, ‘Spider-Noir’, and ‘Vought Rising’ all in the mix, Prime Video has a pretty strong superhero lineup now that it can appeal to some very different audiences. The platform doesn’t seem to be just looking for one direct replacement; it is looking to spread ‘The Boys‘ appeal on various projects.

Of the three, ‘Invincible’ is the most secure option. The animated series has always been praised for its shocking violence, emotional storylines, and willingness to take superhero tropes to darker places. It’s just as awkwardly unpredictable as ‘The Boys’ was, in many ways.

It’s also cool to see ‘Invincible’ getting bolder and bolder for each season. The story continues to get weirder, and fans already know it. It has long-term momentum. Whereas ‘Spider-Noir’ has a different thing to offer.

The black-and-white presentation makes the live-action noir-inspired Spider-Man story even riskier. In all honesty, it’s a project that could either be a cult hit or one of the weirdest superhero experiments ever. Regardless, people will be watching.

Vought Rising Feels Like The True Heir To ‘The Boys’

Despite the options, the project that appears to be most likely to take over ‘The Boys‘ audience is ‘Vought Rising’. It’s not like the other shows; it has a lot of the DNA of the franchise. The prequel takes a look at the beginnings of Vought in the 1950s, and character development for the original Supes.

It’s enough to keep the die-hard fans invested even after the main series concludes. The real fun is that Prime Video doesn’t seem to be stopping here. The franchise still has a lot of room to grow between ‘Vought Rising’ and the planned ‘The Boys: Mexico’.

Ironically, the series that mocked endless superhero universes may now be building one of its own, and viewers will probably keep watching anyway.
