Who Are The Saiyans?
The Saiyans are an extraterrestrial race of warriors in ‘Dragon Ball‘. This race used to live on planet Sadala. In-universe 7, which is Goku’s universe, their home planet got destroyed due to infighting.
After this, they relocated to Planet Plant. This planet was originally inhabited by the Tuffles who had amazing technology but we’re not inclined toward fighting. At first, the Saiyans lived in harmony with the Tuffles but after some time King Vegeta decided to take control of their planet. The Saiyans then defeated the Tuffles and renamed their planet as planet Vegeta.
The Saiyans are gruesome warriors and are naturally inclined towards fighting and getting stronger. The Saiyans were almost destroyed by Frieza in universe 7. Only a few Saiyans remained after the annihilation. Saiyans are of two categories, pure-blooded Saiyans and hybrid Saiyans. Let’s find out what the difference between the two is.
Difference Between A Pure Blooded Saiyan And Hybrid Saiyan?
A pure-blooded Saiyan, as the name suggests is a Saiyan born of two Saiyan parents. This Saiyan is naturally more inclined toward fighting and destruction as compared to a hybrid or half-Saiyan.
A hybrid Saiyan is born of one Saiyan parent and one parent of another species. This species can be any, for instance, Gohan was born of Goku, who is a Saiyan, and Chi-Chi, his human wife.
The pure-blooded Saiyans generally hone their skills from their childhood and the hybrid Saiyans do not. As a result, the hybrid Saiyans have more dormant power that can be pulled out of them upon training. Whilst the full-blooded Saiyans do not. This doesn’t imply that the hybrid Saiyans are stronger though.
Another major difference between the pure-blooded Saiyans and the hybrid Saiyans is their intelligence levels. Most pure-blood Saiyans are not very intelligent. They believe in fighting over scheming plans. One exception is King Vegeta who was unnaturally smart for Saiyans and used to plot around. The hybrid Saiyans are more intelligent due to them having genes from another species, more commonly humans. These are the major differences between hybrid and pure-blooded Saiyans.
