2023 has been a rollercoaster of events in Hollywood. From new romances to divorces and breakups, quite a lot has been going on in H-town.
This year we also saw a rise in the number of people getting cancelled and boycotted by viewers and fans. Here are ten people who got canceled in 2023 and rightly so.

Noah Schnapp
The ‘Stranger Things‘ actor was bashed and boycotted for openly being a zionist. The Israel-Palestine war has most of the celebrities choosing sides. Schnapp promoted stickers that said “zionism is sexy” and openly supported Israel.

Lizzo
The singer has been an advocate for body positivity for a long time. But what took fans by surprise was when her dancers accused her of sexual harassment and body shaming.
Lizzo dismissed the allegations and made a statement regarding countersuing the dancers for fake allegations. According to the complaints, Lizzo had arranged for the dance crew to visit a Red Light District when in Amsterdam. She also made them uncomfortable by asking them to “take turns to touch nude performers.”

Jada Pinkett Smith
Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith faced the wrath of fans as she kept on disclosing more and more intimate information about her marriage. Many blamed her for being the reason behind Will Smith abusing Chris Rock at the Oscars.
After the incident, Jada came forward a bunch of times to react to the incident and she also revealed embarrassing information about Will Smith publicly humiliating him.

Sean Diddy Combs
Diddy has been accused of sexual assault by more than one woman. A woman came forward and accused him of gang-r**ing her when she was 17.
Apart from that he is also accused of drugging and raping another woman in 1991. He also taped the whole incident and shared it with other people. His ex Cassie has also accused him of abuse and rape and abuse.
Rachel Zegler
The ‘Hunger Games‘ actress, who is also playing Snow White in the live-action movie was canceled because of her criticism of the film. She spoke out about the film and its lack of feminist values and said that the live-action version will not have Prince Charming save the princess; instead, she will save herself.
This upset fans who have waited years and years for the live-action film. Ziegler continued to speak out against the film, making fans question why she took up the role if she hated it so much.
Selena Gomez And Hailey Bieber
Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez had one of the biggest feuds of the year- and ironically, they took no part in it. Fans of Hailey and Selena chose sides as the internet made up a whole feud between them.
Many canceled Hailey for ‘bullying’ Selena, while Selena was canceled for ‘playing the victim’ and taking part in the feud by liking shady videos against the model.

Doja Cat
The artist put out a bunch of crowd favorite and smashing songs this year, but she also fell victim to cancel culture for her behavior towards her fans, where she called them ‘miserable’ and said, “I want y’all to read this comment and take it as a message. I don’t give a f**k what you think about my personal life. I never have and never will give a f**k what you think about me or my personal life goodbye and good riddance miserable h**s haha!”
She called out her fandom for calling themselves ‘Kittenz’ and said, “My fans don’t name themselves shit. If you call yourself a ‘Kitten’ or f*****g ‘Kittenz,’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
She lost over 500,000 followers overall and most of her fans left the fandom.
Jonathon Majors
The ‘Loki‘ star has been accused of assaulting his girlfriend in the backseat of a car, and also being unfaithful to her. There are also unsettling text messages shared between the two of them where he admits to the assault.
Majors’ girlfriend claimed to have seen a text message from another woman on Majors’ phone that said, “Wish I was kissing you right now.” She claimed that he grabbed the phone violently after she pulled it from his grasp to see who had sent the message. She claimed that his assault resulted in cuts behind her ear, bruising, swelling, and “excruciating” agony. She also had a swollen finger.
With a not-guilty plea, Majors is facing three misdemeanor charges of harassment and violence. He may serve a year in prison if found guilty.
Colleen Ballinger
Among the YouTubers who got canceled this year was Colleen Ballinger who was accused of grooming young children, and instead of apologizing for her actions, decided to write and perform a ten-minute song without taking any accountability.
Social media tweets and videos from former fans accused Ballinger of “grooming” them when they were teenagers. She allegedly engaged in manipulative and sexually provocative conversations and interactions with them, according to several posts. In her song, she denied being a “groomer,” “predator” or “manipulator,” and called the the allegations “lies and rumors that you made up for clout.”
Kim Kardashian
Would the list even be complete without a Kardashian on it? Taylor Swift’s Time Magazine interview, which came out in early December recorded the singer talking openly about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West incident and the impact it had on her career.
In the interview, she said, “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar. That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before”.
After Swift’s statement, fans were quick to call Kim Kardashian out and cancel her on social media. Swifties left snake emojis on all her posts across all social media platforms.
