Florence Pugh has emerged as a tour de force in the industry with her recent choice of projects. Be it Olivia Wilde’s directed ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ or Christopher Nolan’s magnum opus ‘Oppenheimer.’ Despite her amazing filmography, Florence has been the center of criticism for her fashion choices.

Recently, she opened up about the criticism she has faced for showing her skin.

Florence Pugh Talks About The Scariest Moments With Jodie Turner-Smith
During an interview for Elle magazine’s style awards, Florence Pugh sat down with Jodie Turner-Smith to talk about the trolling she has received for showing too much skin. She also opened up about the brutal trolling she received for the pink Valentino dress. Florence said, “I speak the way I do about my body because I’m not trying to hide the cellulite on my thigh or the squidge in between my arm and my boob: I would much rather lay it all out.”
She continued, “I think the scariest thing for me is the instances where people have been upset that I’ve shown ‘too much’ of myself. When everything went down with the Valentino pink dress a year ago, my nipples were on display through a piece of fabric, and it wound people up.”

The Actress Says That People Are Scared Of Freedom
Florence Pugh starred recently in Christopher Nolan’s nuclear drama ‘Oppenheimer.’ In the film, she plays Jean Tatlock, who was the love interest of J. Robert Oppenheimer and died under mysterious circumstances. In one scene, Pugh appears naked with a naked Cillian Murphy. The scene received backlash and censorship in some countries.
During the Elle interview, Florence Pugh added, “It’s the freedom that people are scared of; the fact I’m comfortable and happy. Keeping women down by commenting on their bodies has worked for a very long time. I think we’re in this swing now where lots of people are saying, ‘I don’t give a shit.’ “
She continued, “Unfortunately, we’ve become so terrified of the human body that we can’t even look at my two little cute nipples behind fabric in a way that isn’t sexual. We need to keep reminding everybody that there is more than one reason for women’s bodies [to exist].”
