‘Gilmore Girls’ is still cherished as one of the most beloved television series of all time. The WB show retains its huge fanbase even years after its conclusion. Starring Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore and Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore, the mother-daughter duo has rocked the screen for seven seasons.
Apart from Lorelei and Rory’s amazing bond, another duo also won the hearts of viewers. It is best friends Lane Kim and Rory Gilmore. Reflecting on the possibilities had the show still continued to air, Keiko Agena, who played the role of Lane Kim, has some ideas where her character would be now.
Keiko Agena On How Lane Kim Is Doing Right Now
Keiko Agena was recently in a conversation with E! News when she revealed how she thinks her character would be doing now. Agena said that she feels that Lane is still married to husband Zack Van Gerbig, but has perhaps also reconnected with first boyfriend Dave Rygalski.
“As rock ‘n roll as she said she was, I think she would be pretty above board, but I think there is some lovelorn heartsickness over that relationship,” the 50-year-old actress said of her character’s relationship with Dave.
“Maybe some daydreams. I don’t know that she would ever act on anything, but a friendship for sure,” she added. Dave and Lane’s relationship ended on the show because Dave left Stars Hollow to attend college in California.
Though it was a couple that many viewers wholeheartedly shipped, the show creatoes decided to eliminate it from the show. Agena, however, was seemingly rooting for it much like many of her show’s viewers.

Keiko Agena Recalls Her Time Playing Lane Kim
Keiko Agena has spoken about her role quite a lot even during previous interviews. The ‘The First’ star opened up about the same in the Dear Felicity podcast, revealing that as a young actor at the time, she was in “such a survival-mode situation.”
“I didn’t think of it that way at the time,” she said. “So now it’s just a mix of just having gratitude for having gone through that experience and having that experience. I have to let go of the pressure that I put on myself to be the best version of who it is that I think that you love. Because I love her, too,” Agena added.
Agena was 27-year-old when she starred in the series with the rest of the cast.
