Mila Kunis had found love and happiness quite young in life with the child actor Macaulay Culkin. The young stars had an eight-year-old relationship which they kept private. Fame Affected Mila Kunis And Macaulay Culkin’s Relationship
The two started dating at two different stages of their lives. Macaulay Culkin, when he was partially retired from acting, and Mila Kunis when she began setting off her career. Culkin was 21 and Kunis was 18 when their relationship became public. Kunis talked about her relationship with the ‘Home Alone‘ actor in an interview with Women’s Health, “We grew up together. You find a steady rock in your life and that’s all you need. We have our ups and downs, but work through them.” Her reservations about her relationship were also apparent. “I don’t know if I met him at 27 if it would have been a different relationship,” the actress added.
Appearing on The Howard Stern Show, Kunis opened up about how Culkin’s fame had affected their relationship. “He was huge. You couldn’t walk down the street with him,” she said, adding, “He always had this weird attraction, like fans just screamed when they saw him. They didn’t know how to react. It wasn’t like a normal response to a celebrity. Fans responded in a very abnormal way to him.” Thus fame made their relationship complicated.

The Truth Behind Their Breakup
The two had split amicably in the year 2011 after an 8-year-long relationship. But Kunis spoke about the breakup later on Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert in 2018. “I f*cked up,” she openly admitted about the “horrible, horrible breakup“.
“I was an a**hole in my 20s and I’ll be the first to admit it. And that’s something that took me a long time to come out and be like, ‘Yeah, you know what, I was a d*ck,’ and accept it and I own it now,” she explained herself.
She had to forgive herself for the way she ended her relationship with Culkin. Kunis said that she had been so immature in their relationship. While she was single, the actress took it as an opportunity to better herself. In later interviews, the actress explained that the two now had no hard feelings anymore about the whole thing. The two have had enough time to process their feelings and come back by forgiving each other.
