‘Dr. Strange 2’ Director Sam Raimi Reveals His Perfect Batman Villain That He Would Love To Bring To Big Screen In DCU

The ‘Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness’ director Sam Raimi expressed his longtime desire to direct The Dark Knight and also has a clear vision of the villain he would bring to the franchise. Despite delivering MCU bangers like Toby Maguire’s ‘Spiderman’ trilogy and ‘Dr. Strange 2’, Raimi has always showcased an interest in the caped crusader.

Talking about the Batman project, Sam Raimi said, “I’ve always loved Batman. If I ever saw the Bat-Signal up in the air, I’d come running. If I heard that deep, gurgling laugh of The Shadow coming from the darkness, I would also tentatively step outside. And Spider-Man would be ahead of Doctor Strange, but I don’t want to put him down the list!”

A Look Into Ra’s Al Ghul’s Relationship With Batman

Batman and Ra's al Ghul

Ra’s al Ghul is the dangerous villain of the DC universe and Batman’s smartest foe. He has been Batman’s persistent enemy proving a thoughtful, yet terrifying rational opponent. Surprisingly, The Demon head and Bruce are not just any villain and hero, they also share the relationship of mentor and student. He trains Bruce to become his worthy successor and has no intention of killing Batman – only turning him into taking up the mantle of “Demon Head” and leading the world into a downward spiral of Chaos as the head of the League of Assassins.

Talia, the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul becomes pregnant with Batman’s child- Damian, and she raises him under the watchful eye of Ra’s and the League of Assassins. The history between Talia, Ra’s and Batman has been violent and complicated, except his relationship with Damian hasn’t.  Damian was trained to be the most successful assassin and warrior in history before he ultimately before he decided to follow in the footsteps of his father. Although Ra’s plan of Batman leading the Army of Assassins never went accordingly, he gave Bruce the greatest gift he can ever expect.
