Ever since Disney took over 20th Century Fox, the film rights for ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four‘ returned to Marvel Studios. The reboot of Marvel’s First Family has been widely anticipated by Marvel fanatics.
Due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, multiple Marvel films hit a pause, resulting in long delays. Now ‘Fantastic Four’ is set to release in May 2025 as the film has just reached the pre-production stage, including the search for the perfect cast.

Franklin And Valeria Richards Will Appear In ‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot
During a recent episode of The Hot Mic podcast, the film critic Jeff Sneider dropped a hint that Sue and Reed Richards will be seen taking up a new role – as parents. This means that the fans will finally get to view Franklin and Valeria Richards appearing in the film. The previous live-action ‘Fantastic Four’ films never brought the children into the equation. Instead, they only focused on the relationship dynamic between Sue and Reed.
Also, there is a possibility that Reed’s children’s names were dropped in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. In the Marvel Comics, Reed and Sue first had their son Franklin Richards who later developed cosmic-level powers that could recreate reality. And then Valeria Richards. While Valeria does not have any superpowers by birth, she is a super-genius.

Pedro Pascal To Play The Role Of Reed Richards
After a long search, Marvel finally found their Reed Richards in Pedro Pascal. Fans criticized the company for its lazy search when the news broke that ‘The Last of Us‘ star has been locked for the role. However, Pascal is yet to sign because of his packed schedule between ‘Last of Us’ season two and ‘Gladiator Two’.
If Marvel Studios is finalizing a deal with Pascal for the role of Reed Richards, it’s likely the other actors are either locked in or will be soon. It was rumored that Vanessa Kirby was considered for Sue Storm and Joseph Quinn for the role of Johnny Storm.
