Producer Jerry Bruckheimer Confirms Tom Cruise As The Lead For ‘Top Gun 3’
Despite releasing after several decades ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘ had reignited the interest of people in the movie franchise. So, it’s not surprising that the 3rd movie is in the works. However, Cruise’s commitment to other roles has led to delays in the production of the movie. Bruckheimer in an interview with ScreenRant talked about Tom liking the story for ‘Top Gun 3’.
He further revealed that the story was crafted by Joseph Kosinski who directed ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. “It will be Tom Cruise leading the cast. Tom is amazing. We spent time with him. We have a story. Joe Kosinski had a wonderful story idea for it, and Tom said, ‘I really like that,’ so we’re developing it. But you never know when it’s going to get made because Tom is so busy. He’s doing ‘Mission: Impossible’ right now, he’s got a picture after it. Hopefully, we’ll get a screenplay that he loves, and we’ll be back in the air again,” Jerry said.
