Now, Pierce Brosnan, who became the fifth Bond actor, has officially endorsed Murphy to play the enduring character.

    The 70-year-old Irish actor Pierce Brosnan was asked who he thought should replace Daniel Craig as James Bond. Brosnan played the international spy in four different films from 1995 to 2002. In an interview with BBC, he said, “Cillian would do a magnificent job as James Bond on His Majesty’s Secret Service.

    After Daniel Craig announced ‘No Time to Die‘ as his last performance as 007, rumors have been abour who will play the role after him. Cillian Murphy believes that “that ship has sailed” for him. Why? According to him, “I’m a bit old for that.” He said this after Brosnan’s recommendation. Murphy could be the right choice for the role as he has experience of suave intense characters from the series ‘Peaky Blinders‘ and his Oscar-winning performance in ‘Oppenheimer‘ as well.
