Australia To Have Taylor Swift-Themed Conference, Swiftposium
Taylor Swift is taking her iconic ‘Eras Tour’ to Australia in February, and Australia has found a genius way to welcome the pop star in a way no country has.
Australia is hosting the world’s first Swift conference, called the Swiftposium, which will focus on the artist’s impact and influence culturally and economically. The event will last for three days and researchers from the Asia-Pacific region are expected to attend. Talking about Swift, the organizer for Swiftposium, Jennifer Beckett, said, “She’s quite a phenomenon.”
If you’re wondering how the idea started, well, it was born from a silly tweet that later grabbed the attention of universities across New Zealand and Australia. Beckett also said: “Taylor Swift really does have a very concrete impact globally, across things that affect all of us. World leaders are begging for her to bring the Eras Tour to their country because of the economic benefits that it brings.” The event will be the first conference to discuss Swift’s influence across industries. It might explore topics such as her fandom, her marketing strategies, her impact on gender and identity discussions and Swift’s brand name.
There has been no announcement of the speakers for the event. But there are plans for fans to be able to attend the event via tickets:
“If Taylor Swift wants to come… I think all of us would have to spend some time picking our jaws up from the ground, but that invitation is definitely there,” Dr. Beckett said. “TayTay, if you want to come, we’d love to have you.”

What Is Taylor Swift Up To Now?
As of now, Taylor Swift is set to release the re-recorded version of ‘1989, which will drop on October 27. The album is set to have five new vault tracks and hopefully some features. After that, she is going to resume her tour, starting with Argentina, with Sabrina Carpenter as her opening artist.
The pop star is also rumored to be dating Travis Kelce. She is expected to attend more award shows this year as she is free until November without any tour dates. So fans can expect some surprises from the artist.
