The Records ‘Eras Tour’ Broke
When it comes to records, no one can beat Taylor Swift. Her ongoing sixth concert, the Eras Tour, which consisted of her performing songs from all her eras, ended up becoming not only her most successful tour but the biggest tour of the year and one of the biggest tours in history.
In attendance, the Eras tour broke records for having the highest attendance in the history of touring. At seven venues so far, Swift has shattered eight attendance records: Lumen Field in Seattle; MetLife Stadium in New Jersey; Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh; AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas; and Allianz Parque in Sao Paolo, where she broke attendance records for one and three days.
It also broke Guinness World Records for Highest-Grossing Music Tour, Highest-grossing Music Tour by a Female Artist, Highest-grossing Music Tour in a Single Year, Highest-Grossing Music Tour by a Solo Artist and Highest-Grossing Music Tour Per Concert by a Female Artist. By December 2023, the tour had earned $1,039,263,762, giving Taylor the billionaire status.
Further, Swift also announced a concert film for the tour. She invested $10–20 million of her own money, avoiding Hollywood altogether and enabling a cooperation with AMC. But was it successful? It would be an understatement to say that the risk paid off: with $250 million in global movie ticket sales, the Eras Tour concert movie became the highest-grossing concert film of all time. Moviegoers shattered AMC’s record for single-day advance ticket sales on the day it was announced, collecting $26 million in just one day.
In addition, it became the first-ever concert film to receive a Golden Globe nomination, going up against major box office hits like ‘Barbie‘ and ‘Oppenheimer‘.
On top of all of this, Swift was also responsible for boosting the economy of all the countries she performed in.

Biggest Moments Of The ‘Eras Tour’
The first huge moment of the tour came when Swift announced the re-recorded version of her album ‘Speak Now‘ on tour. After that, she also chose her stage to announce the re-recorded version of ‘1989‘. Moreover, she also chose the tour to announce variants of her new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘.
She also made a point to sing certain songs that she has never ever sung live, for her ‘surprise songs’ segment of the tour. Another highlight of the show was the fan interactions. Swift chose one special person from the crowd to give a special ‘22‘ hat to and interact with for a while.
Some of her most iconic performances for the show include the famous ‘Midnight Rain‘ performance where she changes her costume between umbrellas, the costume changes from the surprise songs setlist to ‘Anti Hero’ as she takes a deep dive inside the stage, and of course, the fan-favorite ‘Vigilante S**t‘ and the chair dance.
The Eras Tour has been one of the biggest pop culture moments in 2023 and is still making its way to 2024 (and possibly 2025). As she continues to add more dates to accommodate more fans, the impact and income only get bigger.
As of now, Swift is taking a break from touring as her album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘ is set to release next month. But as a treat for her ever-supporting fans, the ‘Eras Tour’ concert film is now available to stream on Disney+.
