The voice-over for the character is provided by Julie Andrews but her face is never revealed.
Lady Whistledown is behind major secrets that are revealed in the Ton. Whistledown is responsible for revealing Marina’s pregnancy and that it was conceived before she came to London. She is also responsible for revealing Lord Berbrooke’s scandal so that he leaves the town. Identity Of Lady Whistledown
Lady Whistledown’s identity is not known but many people in the town are keen to find out. In the entire season one, no one knows the identity of Lady Whistledown. Eloise Bridgerton takes up the challenge and investigates to find out Whistledown’s identity. Towards the end of season one, Eloise believes Genevieve Delacroix to be Whistledown but she later finds out that she isn’t. At the end of season one, it’s revealed to the viewers that Penelope Featherington is Lady Whistledown.
In the second season, Eloise once again starts investigating the identity of Lady Whistledown. Even Queen Charlotte is interested in Eloise’s sleuthing and asks her to find out her identity as soon as possible. At the end of season two, when Penelope corrects a piece of gossip, Eloise realizes the identity of Lady Whistledown and that Penelope has been behind the scandal sheets all along.
