Spider-Man‘ is about to go back to basics, according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. The upcoming movie will strip away the high-tech billionaire gadgets and multiversal madness, finally placing Tom Holland’s Peter Parker into his most classic comic book status quo. Peter Parker, without any superhero friends to rely on, will now face street-level villains in New York with his own resources—a modest apartment, a police scanner, and his homemade spider gadgets.

This is the sequel to ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ and Kevin Feige is promising the audience something very new and unique. In the film, Peter is trying to build a whole new life after having his old life erased by Doctor Strange’s spell. As he grapples with a life stripped of its most important connections, he throws himself deeper into his role as Spider-Man. The result is a poignant new chapter that balances heartfelt personal struggles with high-stakes neighborhood heroics.

Speaking to Empire, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that ‘Brand New Day‘ is set to bring out classic Spider-Man traits to the forefront.

The Marvel producer assured that the audience will find themselves watching a film that focuses on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in a classic comic book fashion, moving away from the larger MCU-centric stories that connected Peter to Iron Man and the Avengers.

Instead, ‘Brand New Day‘ will portray Spider-Man as a truly independent hero, dealing with everyday responsibilities while protecting his neighborhood.

“It is the first Spider-Man film that we’ve made in the MCU that is focused on the classic elements of Spider-Man,” Feige said, adding, “He’s doing the Spidey thing of living in a rather sad, small apartment, listening to the police scanner, and going out and using his great power responsibly.”

The comments are likely to resonate with fans who have long wanted to see Holland’s Spider-Man operate without the influence of larger Marvel heroes.

While previous films often placed Peter at the center of global or multiversal crises, ‘Brand New Day‘ appears to be emphasizing the personal struggles, financial hardships, and neighborhood heroics, the traditional traits that made him the friendly neighborhood superhero in the Marvel universe.

Producer Amy Pascal told Collider that in the next Spider-Man movie, Peter Parker will be forced to commit fully to the role of a superhero without all his connections to other MCU characters.

Following the tragic events that left him completely alone, the film will explore his struggle with isolation and his attempt to piece together the remnants of his old life.

According to Pascal, ‘Brand New Day‘ will have a very serious plot because it is focused on Peter Parker’s new life without all the perks of being a superhero friend to many other Marvel heroes.

The title ‘Brand New Day‘ reflects that fresh start, with the character rebuilding his life from the ground up while embracing his role as New York City’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Pascal suggested that the emotional stakes of the story will be just as important as the action, as Peter attempts to move forward after sacrificing his personal happiness for the greater good.

With his loved ones no longer remembering who he is, the film is expected to examine the consequences of that decision and how it shapes Peter’s future.
