King Charles III is currently battling cancer. While his elder son, Prince William, has been by his side all along, it was his younger child, Prince Harry, whose statement on his father’s health condition everyone was waiting for. The former royal visited Charles and spoke about how his condition has a “reunifying effect” on the family.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are currently facing backlash for their website rebrand where they have put their royal links and given their kids the Sussex surname. Now it seems Harry is willing to mend the differences with his family.

Prince Harry Is Keen On Reuniting With Royal Family Due To Cancer-Stricken King Charles
After a much-publicized exit from the UK’s royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to move to the US. They have often detailed the trauma of being a part of the monarchy. Needless to say, their relationship with the other members of the family have been strained for years.
Now, as King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer and was in the hospital for benign prostate enlargement procedure, Prince Harry has reached out to him for reconciliation. Harry visited his father after learning about his health crisis. He told Good Morning America, “I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could. I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”
He added, “Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”

King Charles’ Health Condition
King Charles shared on the Royal family’s Instagram page on February 10 about his health crisis. He thanked everyone for their good wishes and addressed how cancer has taken a toll on him. He wrote, “I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days. As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.“
The ailing monarch further added, “It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organizations which support cancer patients and their families across the U.K. and wider world. My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater as a result of my own personal experience.”
It’s not just Prince Charles whose health has been affected in the royal family recently. Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, was also hospitalized for abdominal surgery this month. Well, tragedies do bring families together but whether the royal family will welcome the estranged Prince Harry into their hearts and palace remains to be seen. For now, he certainly seems willing to try since he did much damage to their reputation with his bestselling memoir ‘Spare‘ that spilled royal secrets.
