‘Young Sheldon‘ is all set to bid a final farewell to its viewers with the last “bazinga!”, its cast has opened up about an emotionally charged ending. While filming the series finale, actors Emily Osment, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, Zoe Perry, Annie Potts, Iain Armitage, and Lance Barber paused to share their feelings about the show ending and what it signifies for each of their journey.
Iain Armitage, playing the lead character Sheldon Cooper on the show, hinted at the closure that the finale will bring for its fans. “It very much comes full-circle, and I think we are trying to do our best to satisfy both fans of our show and Big Bang, and it’s been so much fun to film,” he said.
Zoe Perry, who plays Sheldon’s mother in the show, also agreed with him, asserting that the episode will bring “fun little” nods for fans along with Easter eggs woven into the episode. “I think what you could always expect from the show is obviously the levity, the humor, but also a lot of heart. So I think people will be really moved by the ending of this. It’s a big chapter closed,” she said.
‘Young Sheldon‘ is the spin-off series of the popular sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’, revolving around the formative years of Sheldon Cooper played originally by Jim Parsons. Ian Armitage takes on the role of Sheldon from Parsons, though the story narrative of the show gradually branches out into several other stories of other characters on the show.

‘Young Sheldon‘ has gained a huge fanbase throughout its run of seven seasons and is now set for a hearty conclusion. Speaking about the final days of filming, Perry described the experience as “very bittersweet” for the cast.
“It’s not an easy thing to know that something that’s been so wonderful for us is coming to an end,” she said, while expressing gratitude for the opportunity to share the journey with viewers. Montana Jordan, who portrays Sheldon’s older brother Georgie, opened up about the familial bond among the cast.
“We’ve been a family ever since the first day we met — and we’re still a family,” he affirmed. “Just because the show’s ending don’t mean we’re not going to continue being a family. That’s what kind of bond we got,” he added.
‘Young Sheldon‘ airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, with the show’s finale is slated for May 16.
