Tyler Posey is not ready to leave Beacon Hills behind. More than a decade after ‘Teen Wolf‘ first premiered and three years after the franchise returned with a revival movie, the actor has revealed that he is still fighting to bring the supernatural drama back.
While no new project has been officially announced, Posey’s latest comments have given longtime fans fresh hope that the actor recently shared that he is actively working to bring the franchise back.
Tyler Posey Wants Another ‘Teen Wolf’ Revival
Posey, who played Scott McCall throughout MTV’s hit supernatural series and later reprised the role in the 2023 revival film, recently opened up about his ongoing efforts to revive the franchise once again. Posey sat down with Buzzfeed to reflect on his connection with Scott McCall and his desire to continue the story.

“It was my first leading role, and I really resonated with it,” he shared. But nostalgia isn’t the only reason Posey keeps returning to the franchise. He revealed that he is actively pitching new ‘Teen Wolf’ projects because the story needs to be kept alive.
“I’m also currently trying to pitch to bring ‘Teen Wolf’ back. I really want that to happen,” he stated. “I love the project, and I think that there’s so much more story for Scott and everyone else. I’m gonna keep trying to do that until the wheels come off.”
Posey’s passion for the franchise isn’t something new. In fact, his efforts to continue the story have been going on for a while. In 2023, ‘Teen Wolf: The Movie’ reunited much of the original cast, including Tyler Posey. The film served as the fifth installment in the franchise and was intended to launch a new era for the series.
Since then, there have been no official plans for a continuation. But Posey’s determination and the lasting connection many fans still have with the series suggest that the door to Beacon Hills may not be closed just yet.
The Sequel ‘Teen Wolf’ Movie We Still Didn’t Get
Speaking with People back in 2025, Tyler Posey revealed that he had already written a script for a second ‘Teen Wolf’ movie. This would serve as a direct sequel to the 2023 ‘Teen Wolf: The Movie’.

“We did a film for Paramount a few years ago now, and originally it was a three-picture deal, and then it sort of abandoned ship after the first movie,” Posey explained. “But everybody wants more.” This is why Posey’s ambition for the franchise is still holding on, and he has plans that extend beyond a single sequel.
“So I wrote the second film. I’m trying to get that one made, and then I have an idea for the third,” he said. “Or we’re just going to do a TV series, but there will be more, and I’m going to spearhead it. I want it really bad.”
According to Posey, some former cast members have already expressed interest in returning. Moreover, he remains convinced that the story wrapped up too soon and there is much to explore in the ‘Teen Wolf’ universe. So, he has taken matters into his own hands to make it happen.
“I was the leader of the cast. Now I want to be the leader for the entire project,” he said. “I feel like I know what the fans want, and I want to deliver it for them.”
While he continues to champion a return to Teen Wolf, Posey is also keeping himself busy with several projects behind the camera. The actor revealed that he has been developing original content and expanding his work as a creator.
