Reese Witherspoon left many of her fans frozen in disgust and disbelief after she posted a video of an unconventional snow-day treat. The actress made a Chococinno from snow scraped off her car.
The ‘Legally Blonde‘ star took to TikTok to show off her frosty creation, as she shared a step-by-step guide for making it. “So we got a ton of snow over the past few days. We decided to make a recipe,” the 47-year-old actress said in her TikTok video.
With a voiceover of herself, the actress posted a video wherein she energetically shoveled the snow gathered on her car into two pink-and-white-striped mugs. “So first we scooped the snow into cups, and we added salted caramel syrup, and some chocolate syrup. And then we decided to add some cold brew,” she said.
The actress the tastes her creation, even goes on to name it. As delighted as Witherspoon looked as she devoured her newly discovered dessert (?), social media erupted with a flurry of reactions.
While some fans stood by the star for her eccentricity, some others expressed plain disgust. More fans voiced concerns about the cleanliness of eating snow. “The way she’s just eating pollution slush puppies lmao,” a user wrote in the comments section, while another warned of potential bird droppings in the ice pile.

Soon enough, Witherspoon responded to the criticism with charm in another TikTok video. “We’re kind of in the category of ‘you only live once’ and it snows maybe once a year here. I don’t know!” she laughed, defending her antic. “Also, I want to say something… It was delicious! It was so good,” she added.
Witherspoon also addressed the cleanliness concerns. “There [are] so many people on here saying that snow is dirty. So we went and took snow from the backyard and we microwaved it and it’s clear,” she said. Holding up a glass jar of what seemed to be melted snow, she said, “Is this bad? Am I not supposed to eat snow?”
Witherspoon has eventually gotten good at handling criticism on TikTok. The star has come a long way since her initial dance tutorial days with her son Deacon in 2019, when she had received heavy backlash on the social media platform. The grace with which she has addressed the scrutiny this time is commendable, even if her choice of dessert remains a bit unconventional.
