August Alsina Admitted Will Smith Gave His Blessing To Him And Jada Pinkett Smith
There was a turbulent time in the lives of Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. The two went their separate ways at a juncture in their lives. During an interview, Will explained the reason. He said, “We decided we were going to separate for some time, and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I’ll figure out how to make myself happy.” While the two were separated, Jada was admittedly involved in ‘entanglement’ with the R&B artist, August Alsina.
August Alsina is a friend of Jaden Smith and a popular R&B artist. He has collaborated with industry heavyweights like Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and others. His ‘I Luv This S***” was released in 2013 with Trinidad James. The song featured in the Billboard 100 chart. Alsina’s first studio album ‘Testimony’ peaked at the No.2 position on Billboard 200.
In 2016, August Alsina and Jada Smith met for the first time. During the 2020 ‘Red Table Talk’ with Will Smith, the ‘GI Jane Star’ confessed that she was in a relationship with August. She said, “We actually became really, really good friends. It all started with him just needing some help. Me wanting to help his health, his mental state, y’know?”.
Before the explosive interview, August Alsina was promoting his album ‘The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy’ on ‘The Breakfast Club’ podcast. During the interview, he said that he gave all to the relationship with Jada.
He also alleged that Will Smith actually “blessed” their relationship. August said, “I actually sat down with Will [Smith] and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership … he gave me his blessing.”

Chris Rock Roasted The Couple Over The ‘Entanglement’
During Netflix’s ‘Selective Outrage’, Chris Rock ripped Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith apart. After almost a year to Oscar’s slap gate, the comedian addressed the slap and also Jada’s ‘entanglement’ with August Alsina. During the special, Rock said, “Will Smith practices ‘Selective Outrage’. Everybody who really knows, knows I had nothing to do with that s***. I didn’t really have ‘entanglements’. “
Chris Rock continued, “His wife was fucking her son’s friend. I normally would not talk about this s***… I have no idea why two talented people would do something that fucking lowdown. We’ve all been cheated on, everybody in here been cheated on. None of us has ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us, on television… She hurt him way more than he hurt me.”
