    Why Did The Weeknd Cut Short His Los Angeles Concert?

    The Canadian singer and songwriter, The Weeknd had a second sold-out night at Los Angeles’s SoFi Stadium on Saturday. But about 15 minutes into the concert, about three and a half songs later, the artist had to apologize and cancel the event. Later on, the star took to social media to apologize to his fans for the inconvenience caused.

    The singer is currently on his After Hours Til Dawn tour which kick-started after the release of his fifth album, Dawn FM. But the tour had to face some trials from the very beginning. He had to reschedule his initial performance in his hometown Toronto due to the national Rogers outage earlier in July. Now again ‘Blinding Lights‘ singer has had to cancel his performance mid-way. Here’s the reason why.

    The show was to have a set of 29 exciting songs, including, ‘Gasoline‘, ‘Sacrifice‘, and ‘How Do I Make You Love Me?‘ from his new album. But the 32-year-old singer halted in between the song ‘Can’t Feel My Face’. I don’t know what just happened…but I just lost my voice, this is killing me I don’t want to stop the show but I can’t give you the concert I want to give you right now.“, The Weekend addressed the audience hoarsely. “I’m gonna make sure everybody’s good, you’ll get your money back, I’ll do a show real soon for you guys. But I wanted to come out and personally apologize. You know how much this kills me, I’m sorry. I love you thank you so much.“, he said before exiting the stage. Soon the lights were turned on and the fans had to exit the stadium disappointed.

    There was much bewilderment as the performance at SoFi came to an abrupt stop at about 9:40 PM, barely 15 minutes after the show started. The Weeknd took to Twitter and Instagram to apologize to his fans. “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date.”, the post stated. This is not the first time the performer had to change dates. He had earlier shifted his tour dates too. Though there would be a reschedule, the dates have not been confirmed yet.
