Ryan Gosling was highly appreciated for his portrayal of Ken in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’. And now fans are assuming his next project will be with James Gunn. This rumor started after the ‘Superman: Legacy’ cast on Letterboxd included Gosling as Bruce Wayne AKA Batman. Gunn reacted to this rumor with just an eye-roll emoji.

Gunn also addressed the floating rumor regarding Batman’s appearance in ‘Superman: Legacy’. He previously stated that many DC heroes will be a part of ‘Superman: Legacy’ except Batman. In Gunn’s universe, Bruce Wayne will debut in ‘The Brave and Bold’.

Fans Want Jensen Ackles To Be Their Batman In James Gunn’s DC Universe

After Robert Pattinson and George Clooney, fans want Jenson Ackles to take up the mantle of Batman. The actor has also shown his desire to play the character on multiple occasions and has the physicality and acting skills for the role. Sadly for the fans, Gunn debunked the rumor that Ackles had been cast as the DCU’s Batman. Gunn explained that ‘The Brave and the Bold’ had no script yet, hence casting Batman for the film was impossible.

Gunn also made it clear that Robert Pattinson and George Clooney will not return to their role. Pattison’s Batman exists in Matt Reeves’ ‘Batman’ universe meaning it will be separate from James Gunn’s DCU canon. Lately, rumors about Alan Ritchson playing Batman have gained fans’ interest. Unless and until Gunn officially reveals his intention with the Batman casting, nothing seems to be written in stone.
