Fans are closing down to the MCU phase 5’s biggest movie, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. The first official trailer has already made waves on social media. It is set to be action-packed mayhem and fans can clearly see that. With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reprising their role as Deadpool and Wolverine respectively, a few other familiar faces are also coming back to reprise their role. Some actors/actresses will be reprising their roles after 20 long years.
Here are all the confirmed and expected actors/actresses fans will see in a rather familiar roles in the upcoming ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ Characters List
1. Ryan Reynolds As Deadpool
This one is a no-brainer. Ryan Reynolds himself made the announcement for ‘Deadpool 3‘ which was later dubbed as ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’. Ryan Reynolds has been playing Deadpool since 2016’s ‘Deadpool’ (not counting that abomination of “Merc Without A Mouth” he played in ‘Wolverine Origins‘).
He immediately connected with fans as the Wade Wilson. With his apt acting and antics on and off screen, fans were convinced that Marvel would definitely bring Ryan as Deadpool for future projects.
2. Hugh Jackman As Wolverine
The 2000’s ‘X-Men‘ movie gave the comic book fans Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. It was the match made in heaven and fans feasted on it. Hugh has played Wolverine in 8 different movies and made 3 cameo appearances.
20th Century Fox concluded the saga of Wolverine with 2017’s ‘Logan’ and fans thought that it was it for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. They were expecting a new Wolverine for future Marvel projects. However, Ryan Reynolds, the master of convincing, convinced Hugh to strap on the boots and rock that comic accurate Yellow suit for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
3. Morena Baccarin As Vanessa
After coming back from the dead, fans will see Morena Baccarin’s Vanessa in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. She was one of the lovable characters from the first Deadpool movie. However, she was killed off in the first 30 minutes of ‘Deadpool 2‘, but was brought back to life by Deadpool in the end.
She might not play as big of a role in the movie but it would be great to see Morena as Vanessa again.
4. Karan Soni As Dopinder
Dopinder was the gag character in both previous Deadpool movies. Played by Karan Soni, the Indian cab driver is a fun sidekick of Deadpool. Even though he didn’t have a whole lot of scenes, he definitely made numerous fans.

5. Leslie Uggams As Blind Al
If there’s a badass character in a Deadpool movie other than him, it’s the Blind Al. She provides a roof to beloved Merc and acts as more of a parental figure who hands out dr*gs ( not of the good kind). Fans already saw Leslie Uggams as Blind Alin in a hilarious scene with Deadpool at the end of the trailer.
6. Stefan Kapičić As Colossus
Colossus was the only major X-men member seen in previous Deadpool movies. He was an integral part of the Deadpool’s team so Stefan Kapičić coming back as Colossus was expected. He is like the guardian angel of Deadpool who tries to keep Merc on the right path.
7. Brianna Hildebrand As Negasonic Teenage Warhead
Negasonic Teenage Warhead (mouthful of words for a young X-Men) has been the sidekick of Colossus. Brianna Hildebrand did a great job as the classic teenager. She was not the biggest fan of Deadpool but Deadpool still loves her.
Negasonic Teenage Warhead was a rather new mutant to see in a live-action movie for fans. Filmmakers have done a decent job of depicting her in movies.
8. Shioli Kutsuna As Yukio
Yukio is the love interest of Brianna Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead. She was first seen in ‘Deadpool 2’ with very limited screen time. Shioli Kutsuna’s version of Yukio is quite different from Rila Fukushima’s version in 2013’s ‘The Wolverine’. In the new version, she can control electricity.
9. Rob Delaney As Peter
Peter is another guy that Deadpool saved in the post-credit scene of ‘Deadpool 2’. Fans saw Rob Delaney’s Peter in the 2nd part of Deadpool and he was the cutest character in the movie. Peter doesn’t have any superpower but was still hired in the X-Force. Deadpool loved this teddy bear and thus fans will see him once again in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
10. Lewis Tan As Shatterstar
Shatterstar is an alien from a planet called Mojoworld. He is a skilled mercenary just like Deadpool and that’s why these 2 didn’t go well together in the past film. Deadpool met Shatterstar when he was recruiting members for X-Force’s. Despite his hatred, apparently, he saved Shatterstar during ‘Deadpool 2’s post-credit and will be appearing in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
11. Kelly Hu As Lady Deathstrike
From the trailer of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, it was confirmed that Kelly Hu, who played the role of Lady Deathstrike in 2002’s ‘X2’, will also return. Kelly Hu shared a good fight scene with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the previous movie. She will be one of the henchmen of Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova.
12. Jason Flemyng As Azazel
First appeared in 2011’s ‘X-Me: First Class’, Jason Flemyng’s Azazel was a member of Hellfire Club. He looks similar to an X-Man named Nightcrawler but in red colour. Azazel also has similar teleportation powers. He only appeared once in the movies and it will be his second appearance.
13. Evan Jonigkeit As Toad
Toad is clearly one of the less-liked mutants by the fans due to its evil and disgusting mutant powers. Evan Jonigkeit was last seen as the younger version of Toad in 2014’s ‘X-men: Days Of Future Past’. Along with Azazel and Lady Deathstrike, he is also a henchman of Cassandra Nova.
14. Tyler Mane As Sabretooth
Sabretooth is the archnemesis of Wolverine. Tyler Mane played the role of Wolverine in the very first X-Men live-action movie in 2000. His appearance in the movie was aptly adopted and he also did a decent job. Tyler has been confirmed to play the role of Sabretooth and he will fight Deadpool and Wolverine in the movie.
15. Aaron Stanford As Pyro
Pyro was a young student of Charles Xavier who was lured into joining Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants. Aaron Stanford made his first appearance as the hothead teenager in ‘X2’ and made the last one in ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’. He is rumored to play another troupe from the gang of Cassandra Nova.

16. Jennifer Garner As Elektra
American actress Jennifer Garner slayed the role of Elektra in 2003’s ‘Daredevil’ and 2005’s ‘Elektra’. Even though both of these movies are not memorable, Jennifer Garner in the red Elektra suit is imprinted in fans’ minds. It is currently unknown how her role as Elektra will play out in the movie but it has been confirmed that fans will see Jennifer as Elektra one more time.
17. Ben Affleck As Daredevil
Many fans from the newer generation know that before wearing the bat suit to play Batman, Ben Affleck was Marvel’s Daredevil before Charlie Cox. Ben was last seen in the red suit in the 2005’s ‘Elektra’. With Jennifer Garner already reprising her role as Elektra there are rumours of Affleck also returning.
Affleck was also seen near the set of ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ further giving air to this rumor.
18. Patrick Stewart As Professor X
When fans talk about an apt superhero movie casting, Patrick Stewart as Professor X is the permanent resident of that list. He has been playing this role for more than 20 years and has nailed every single inch of it.
Patrick recently reprised his role as Professor X in 2022’s ‘Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness’. It was a small role but fans did get to see him in Professor X’s yellow hoverchair. His appearance has not been confirmed as of now but there is a strong chance of him returning.
19. Ian Mckellen As Magneto
Fans remember Ian McKellen as the OG Magneto from the original X-Men movie series. He did great as Professor X’s old friend and he also looked great parallel to Patrick Stewart’s Professor X.
In an interview, he said he loved Patrick Stewart in ‘Dr. Strange: Multiverse Of Madness’ and said he would love to do it someday. Fans have to wait to see if Ian once again pairs up with Patrick Stewart.
20. Halle Berry As Storm
Storm is an integral part of the core X-Men faction and Halle Berry was the one who played this character greatly. There has not been any confirmation about her returning as Storm, however, she posted a photo on Instagram with Storm’s signature hairstyle. With other actors also returning for their roles, fans can expect Storm to land in the movie too.
21. James Marsden As Cyclops
Fans have seen multiple actors play Cyclops in different X-Men movies but James Marsden’s Cyclops just felt right. he first appeared in 2000’s ‘X-Men’ along with many iconic characters mentioned above.
The treatment of Cyclops over the years has not been the best and it is to be blamed on the creators. With James Marsden reportedly returning as the leader of X-Men, fans can expect Cyclops also getting some redemption.

22. Famke Janssen As Jean Grey
If there’s a Wolverine movie in a multiverse setting, Jean Grey has to appear in that one. Famke Janssen has played the role of Jean in multiple X-Men movies with Hugh Jackman. She also appeared in 2013’s ‘The Wolverine’ which was Hugh Jackman’s solo show. There’s no other actress to play Jean Grey opposite Jackman’s Logan other than Janssen.
23. Allen Kelsey Grammer As Beast
There is a strong chance that Allen Kelsey Grammer is going to be in the ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’. He has already appeared in the 2023’s ‘The Marvels’ post-credit scene. It was his 1st appearance in almost 17 years and fans are demanding more of it.
24. Chris Evans As Human Torch
As Captain America, Chris Evans has played a monumental role in the success of the MCU franchise. However, before being the First Avenger, Evans played the role of Johnny Storm aka Human Torch in 2005’s ‘Fantastic Four’ and 2007’s ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’.
There have been a few rumors floating around that fans will see Evans one more time as the fiery member of Fantastic 4. Fans will see the funnier side of Chris Evans in the MCU for the first time.
