Taylor Swift Roasts Kim Kardashian In New Album, Proves She Can Neither Forgive Nor Forget The Bullying Amidst Their Feud

Taylor Swift isn’t done calling out Kim Kardashian after her 2016 feud with the socialite as she drops new songs on her albumThe Tortured Poets Departmentthat seem to be obvious references to the SKIMS owner.

Though she has written songs for Kim and Kanye before, notably in ‘Reputation‘, ‘Midnights‘ and a possible reference in ‘Folklore’s ‘Mad Woman’, there seem to be new angles she’s writing about in two songs called ‘Cassandra‘ and ‘thanK you aIMee’. Here’s everything you need to know.

‘ThanK you aIMee’ seems to be an obvious reference to Kim as the song title has three letters in all caps. In it Taylor Swift sings about the titular character, Aimee being a bullying figure as she sings, “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed ‘F— you, Aimee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushin’/ But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

Further lyrics confirm this theory as she sings, “And maybe you’ve reframed it/And in your mind, you never beat my spirit black and blue/I don’t think you’ve changed much/And so I changed your name, and any real defining clues.”

Next up, in ‘Cassandra‘ Swift sings about that phone call incident and everything that followed. She sings, “That’s where I was when I got the call” followed by a chorus of “So they filled my cell with snakes, I regret to say/ Do you believe me now?” referencing the whole incident of Kim framing Taylor and how the world believed Kim and canceled Taylor.

She then also references the Kardashian clan and sings, “They knew, they knew, they knew the whole time/ That I was onto somethin’/ The family, the pure greed, the Christian chorus line/ They all said nothin’/ Blood’s thick, but nothin’ like a payroll/Bet they never spared a prayer for my soul/ You can mark my words that I said it first.”

2016 was one of Swift’s worst years of her career, as she faced hate from all over the world following Kim Kardashian’s illegally recorded phone call between West and Swift.

Earlier, Kanye West had released a controversial song called ‘Famous that showed him lying naked next to a naked wax figure of Swift herself. Not just that, the song had a lyric that went, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex./ Why? I made that bitch famous”

When Taylor expressed her anger over the lyrics, Kim immediately released footage of Kanye asking Taylor for permission and her agreeing. This led to everyone calling Taylor a snake and a liar, as she continued to defend herself by saying that the recording was edited and also made without her consent. Soon after, when Kanye and Kim got divorced, the original recording came out, proving that Swift was, in fact, telling the truth.

In a recent TIME interview, Taylor called Kim out and said, “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar. That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before.

Though Kim continues to collaborate with Swift’s closest friends, she has not yet commented on anything Swift-related.
