Todd Howards Confirms Amazon’s ‘Fallout’ To Be A Part Of The Canon

The adaptation of the ‘Fallout‘ video games by Amazon has sparked a lot of debate online. While the majority of people including video games fans love the show some of the people were conflicted with their opinions. Additionally, a lot of people questioned whether the series was part of the canon.

However, in an interview with IGN, the director of the Bethesda studios Todd Howard confirmed the games to be a part of the same world. Amazon’s adaptation is set years before the events of the video games in the year 2296. He even confirmed that the ‘Fallout: New Vegas‘ was a cannon to the TV show.

This confused fans as the show had a completely different storyline and there was no official confirmation whether it was a part of the lore. However, with the show having the same aesthetics as the game and a similar capitalistic storyline a lot of people already knew.

Additionally, it was also revealed that the idea behind the show being different from the games came from the showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet. They wanted the show to tell a development story instead of repeating the same things.

Despite the show being loved and critically acclaimed, there are also a lot of people critiquing the show. Previously, the show was called out by people for going woke by hiring a female lead. Some people were also not happy that all the episodes were released on the same day.

The news of the show being confirmed as an original part of the lore has the fans excited. “I’m glad they came out and clarified this. A lot of people were blindly hating the series thinking it destroyed the lore,” an X user commented. However, some also claimed that it was obvious that the show was a part of the lore. “Don’t really know why there is confusion, it’s clear in the show,” another user commented.

Fallout‘ has been renewed for season 2.
