Luther Ford’s Road To Getting Cast As Prince Harry On ‘The Crown’
Luther Ford would probably be somebody else if not for his brother’s girlfriend. But thanks to her, he was cast as Prince Harry in the final season of ‘The Crown.’ In a conversation with ‘Entertainment Weekly,’ Rutherford discussed the beginning of his acting journey.
Speaking to the subject of his casting at a fan event, Luther Ford told the outlet, “I auditioned, I suppose on a whim. And then, because it was very late in the process, they’d been looking for quite a long time to find someone,“
The actor added, “I got cast in about three weeks, and then, we started filming a month later and it’s been a year, so it’s definitely changed a lot of things.”

‘The Crown’ has yet again been at odds with the royalty’s portrayal. Although intended as a fictional drama, it has often been criticized for taking creative liberties. Mainly, people have complained about the unnerving presence and portrayal of Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki.)
There seems to be discontent among the cast members as well. Jonathan Pryce, who plays Prince Philip, had an awkward encounter with Princess Anne. According to ‘Town And Country,’ he was in the process of being knighted by Princess Anne while he had already shot his scenes. All he could do was apologize, which she rebuffed.
