    The Witcher: Leaked Report Confirms The Release Date Of “The Witcher: Blood Origin”

    Since its release, The Witcher has gained a lot of traction for its grandiose and intriguing storyline. Netflix decided to develop a few spin-offs for this adaptation of Polish fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. There are six novels and fifteen short stories published, so there is enough fodder for the development of spin-offs. Netflix announced The Witcher: Blood Origin in 2020 with a trailer released in December 2021. There was no concrete date for the release of the spin-off, but an update gives fans a respite from the anticipation.

    An insider source, Redanian Intelligence, the source for the updates for the series said, “We initially thought we’d see The Witcher: Blood Origin sometime from May to August 2022, but as the time went by, that doesn’t seem to be the case.” Adding to that, the source revealed that Netflix is aiming to release the series somewhere around October 2022. The reason cited was reshoots of the series. Any show as complex and as mammoth as The Witcher needs perfection to its hilt. There is conjecture that the spin-off series be cut to a mini-series from six episodes to four episodes.

    Many series on Netflix are axed after two seasons due to low viewership and no returns on the cost of production to renew them. However, fortunately, The Witcher garnered a lot of viewership and traction that Netflix Renewed the series for a third season premiered in September 2021. The main attraction of the series is DCEU’s Man Of Steel fame Henry Cavill. He plays the titular role of a mutated monster-hunter. Along with this, he will be donning the thinking hat of Sherlock Holmes in the upcoming Enola Holmes series along with Millie Bobby Brown.

    The Witcher is available for streaming on Netflix.
