Although there isn’t an official synopsis for Season 6, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith revealed to Parade what’s coming up in Virgin River’s upcoming chapter. As Mel delves more into her relationship with her recently returned father, Everett Reid, get ready for further surprises about her family.

In an enticing hint to “another little time jump,” Smith reassured viewers that the forthcoming season will not take place immediately after the joyous adventures of the Christmas episodes. Now that Mel and Jack are engaged, the topic of marriage is coming up, with promises of a delicious mix of romance and excitement as they work toward starting a family.

Netflix is keeping the release date under wraps for now. However, as Smith wrapped up the writing for Season 6 in Hollywood, he playfully teased viewers with hints of Mel and Jack’s upcoming adventures. It is revealed that the cast and crew are gearing up for filming in Vancouver in the first half of 2024.
