Elon Musk‘s tenure as the owner of Twitter has been filled with chaos. He has taken some really drastic measures in the company over the past six months. This includes firing nearly half of its workforce and introducing Twitter Blue.

The latest change is in the company’s parental leave policy, which has been reduced from 20 weeks (which is around 140 days) to just 14 days. It will directly affect employees that don’t have a paid leave policy.

Kate Conger, a New York Times reporter, tweeted, “New: Twitter used to offer employees 20 weeks of paid parental leave. That’s being changed to whatever is required by law in the region where the employees work, along with a “top up” of two weeks of leave, per internal docs.”

From next month, the micro-blogging site will be rolling out a feature that will have users pay per article. Musk took to Twitter to elaborate on this interesting new feature that might boost its revenue.

“Rolling out next month, this platform will allow media publishers to charge users on a per article basis with one click. This enables users who would not sign up for a monthly subscription to pay a higher per article price for when they want to read an occasional article. Should be a major win-win for both media orgs & the public,” he wrote.

Musk has stated that Twitter will not be charging money from the publishers for the next 12 months. “You will receive whatever money we receive, so that’s 70% for subscriptions on iOS & Android (they charge 30%) and ~92% on web (could be better, depending on payment processor),” he explained.
