The events that led to the sexual assault allegations happened during the height of Russell Brand’s career between 2006 and 2013. Several women had come forward with allegations as part of the investigations done by the Sunday Times and Channel 4. One woman accuses Brand of rape, which is supported by medical records.
Another claim against the comedian is from a woman who was assaulted when she was 16 and Brand in his early 30s. They were in an emotionally abusive and controlling relationship. The other two women have also confided in being sexually assaulted by the stand-up comedian.
