You were probably living under a rock if you are not aware of the Johnny Depp Vs Amber Heard case! It has been two weeks since the trial began in Fairfax County, Virginia. Many pieces of evidence were produced by the actors’ attorneys. Social media, including prominent personalities, have polarizing opinions. In all this, Jeremy Clarkson, the ex-host of the motorist show, Top Gear, speaks his mind about Amber Heard and her way to claim fame.
“Loves To Be Seen And Heard”- Jeremy Clarkson Wrote About Amber Heard’s Ways To Achieve Fame
We know Jeremy Clarkson has no filter when it comes to expressing opinions. His tongue-in-cheek attitude can be witnessed in the columns he writes for The Sun, a UK-based news portal. Clarkson has written an opinion piece that talks about Amber Heard and how she wanted to appear on his show to get fame.
He wrote an opinion piece titled ‘Driverless cars are pointless-and, they have built-in instructions to kill you.’ In that, he scathingly attacked a proposal of letting the drivers of driverless cars watch a film, but cannot text as it can be too much distraction. This can be done with a speed below 37mph only when you are in single files with other cars.
In the sub-heading ‘Slowcoach Amber Just Loves To Be Seen As Well As Heard’, he recalled how Heard’s management insisted producers cast the actress in a segment “Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.” At the time, Heard had not become a household name. She came, in 2011, on the show to promote Drive Angry starring Nicolas Cage. The producer immediately answered, “Amber who?”
Amber’s manager explained, “she was a lesbian petrol head who loved muscle cars, so we signed her up straight away.” However, the situation was different. On the d-day, as Clarkson wrote, “she turned out to be slower than the BBC’s then political correspondent, Nick Robinson, and former Sun Page girl Peta from Essex. Still, she got what she wanted. A bit more fame.”
Jeremy Termed Johnny Depp And Amber Heard London Trials ‘Boring’
Back in 2020, Jeremy Clarkson called Johnny Depp’s case boring when he filed a libel case against the publisher at The Sun. The case was filed because The Sun called Johnny Depp a ‘wife beater’ in one of their articles. The court ruled in the favor of The Sun announcing the accusations to be “substantially true.” Justice Andrew Nicol wrote in the ruling, “I have found that the great majority of alleged assaults of Ms. Heard by Mr. Depp have been proved to the civil standard.”
Out of the “boredom,” Jeremy Clarkson decided to have a poll on Twitter. He tweeted, “Vote: which is more boring? Harry and Meghan or Depp and Heard?”

Twitteratis did not take this well and slammed him for doing so. A user wrote, “You’re 3 years older than JD yet you have the maturity of a 6 year old and the looks of a 92 year old.” Other reactions:
