How Did Bray Wyatt Die?
Initially, WWE released a statement on their website but it did not contain the cause of death. The statement read, “WWE is saddened to learn that Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, at age 36. WWE extends its condolences to Rotunda’s family, friends and fans.”
No one from Rotunda’s family has made any responses either regarding his death. However, a sports journalist by the name of Sean Ross Sapp confirmed the cause of death.
“I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated a heart issues. There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away,” claimed Sean Ross Sapp.

Windham Rotunda hails from a family of wrestlers and made his ring debut in a dark match in 2009. He defeated Brian Jossie at the Florida Championship Wrestling. After taking on the stage name of Wyatt, he became the 2017 WWE champion.
Bray Wyatt was last seen at the 2023 Royal Rumble against LA Knight. Fans tuned in to watch him fight LA Knight not knowing that it would be his last match before his death.
