Who Was Sybil On ‘The Vampire Diaries’?
Sybil, staring Nathalie Kelly made an appearance in the finale of season seven and is the main antagonist of season eight. She was initially known as Armory’s Monster, trapped in the vault of Armory until rescued by Damon and Enzo. Sybil is actually a siren, who corrupts and enslaves those that cross its path, feeding off of the darkness in a person’s soul as well as devouring their flesh for sustenance. Her task is of a soul harvester who enslaves Damon and Enzo.
Despite her sympathetic origins, Sybil has shown a cruel, sadistic, jealous, and seductive personality. She uses men to feed her and harvest the souls of the evil men she feeds off. She uses the voices of her victims’ loved ones to satisfy her own needs. Sybil is the most powerful creature that had to be sealed off in the vault by Bennet Witch. She is blessed with the ability to create illusions and control people’s minds.
How And When Did Sybil Die?
In the third episode of season eight, the group discovered a weapon that can slow down Sybil, a pitchfork. Sybil is captured for the fourth time hoping for the answers to enslave Damon and Enzo. She smartly replaced all of Damon’s memory with herself instead of Bonnie and Elena corrupting his subconscious leading him to kill Tyler Lockwood unnecessarily. “An Eternity of Misery”, gave us a window into Sybil’s past life and her transformation into a siren. The story of Sybil and her sister Seline’s survival is the parallel story of the survival of the Salvatore brothers.
At the end of episode ten, “Nostalgia’s Bitch”, Cade makes an appearance. After the bell rung 11 times, she and Seline are at a diner trying to fix their relationship but end up arguing. Cade walks in, leaving them surprised and shocked, and he reveals he could make a visit despite the bell ringing only 11 times. When they try to bargain with him, he sets them on fire, killing both Sybil and Seline.
