Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4’ To Feature Symbiote But It Won’t Be The Main Villain

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man started his new journey after losing his aunt May and Dr Strange made everyone forget who he is in 2021’s ‘Spider-Man: Now Way Home’. With him all alone, fans will get to see more of a generic webhead.

In the post-credit scene of ‘No Way Home’, fans saw Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man universe. After a few seconds, he gets back to his own universe but leaves behind a tiny part of his Venom symbiote teasing it to be part of the next movie.

Venom Reportedly Isn’t The Main Villian Of ‘Spider-Man 4’

According to the prominent scooper, MyTimeToShineHello, Venom will surely appear to fight Holland’s Spidey however he won’t be the main antagonist of the movie. The movie will go into production this fall.

Currently, Marvel has not confirmed any details about the character in the movie. However, it has been rumoured that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will once again join the webhead but this time in the Daredevil suit and not in the formal kind. Aside from him, Vincent D’Onofrio is also rumored to appear in the movie.

In addition, Blackcat and Spider-Man Miles Morales are rumored to be in the movie. With these rumored characters, it is expected that this time Spider-Man will deal with street-level crime. So it is possible that Venom will indeed be in the main picture or might not even appear in the whole movie till the very end once again to set up the next movie.

Or, one route that creators might take is binding symbiote with Flash Thompson and giving fans Agent Venom instead of Eddie Brock’s Venom. Before Marvel Studios confirm anything these theories are everything that fans will get.

‘Spider-Man 4’ Could Be Another Multiversal Movie

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ was the first MCU movie that explored the multiverse in the franchise. It was a great movie and let fans enjoy Tobie Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s versions of Spider-Man one more time.

A couple of months ago, the chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Thomas Rothman, during an interview with Deadline dropped a tease that the next installment of MCU’s Spider-Man franchise will once again explore the multiverse.

He said, “When the last of the Spider-Verse movies comes with Phil Lord and Chris Miller, it’s going to be a significant event, as will the next Tom Holland Spider-Man film…The third and last Venom, is going to be huge.”

However, fans’ feelings for another multiversal webhead movie are not great. Many believe it should be a “one and done” type of thing and creators should present something new. Furthermore, after ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, 2022’s ‘Dr Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ also tried to explore the multiverse but it fell flat.

The upcoming ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ is also confirmed to be a multiversal movie. So it will be great if Holland sticks to street crime and deals with the problems of his own universe rather than taking care of mess from another universe(except the symbiote).
