    The Capital FM presenter, Ronan Kemp made a controversial statement about Liverpool’s most famous rock band, Beatles. He might have wounded some of the Beatles’ fans out there but on an another note, he does speak for those who just don’t get ‘it’. Well, speak brother! speak!

    In a recent interview, Kemp revealed all about his musical tastes. The song he knows all the lyrics to, the band he hates, the song that he wants to play at his funeral, and the song he want for his stadium entrance music. This man has got quite the range of taste in music. All ardent music lovers would want to get into his mind now.

    Ronan Kemp was asked in an interview which song he pretends to hate but secretly likes. In the interview with the Guardian, he answered: “John Lennon’s Imagine.” The Capital FM presenter then went on to say: “The Beatles, I just don’t really get it. Yes, I know this is the Guardian but I want to be honest. However, that is a phenomenal song. I would put Hey Jude in the same category.”

    Ronan also said his go to karaoke song is ‘It’s Not Unusual’ by Tom Jones and that he can’t stand, ‘Starman’ by David Bowie. With his controversial statement about Beatles, some fans are left with certain diabolical questions – why would anyone pretend to hate ‘Imagine’ and what’s not to get about The Beatles?

    Kemp was then asked in the interview, ‘The Song I inexplicably know every lyric to’? He answered, “Eminem”, I know it’s not a song but he is down with all the songs of Eminem. I’m Back by Eminem. My mum actually bought The Marshall Mathers LP for me when I was six or seven,” he said.

    “At the time Eminem was being targeted by everyone – the media, the police – and he decided to come back with a record that was just as offensive, and just as personal to him. Of course it’s inappropriate for a child – but my mum always had this amazing outlook on music as a way of expressing emotions. She said: “Here’s a boy who’s got a lot wrong in his life, and isn’t as privileged as you are, and here he is turning his experience into lyrics.””
