Star Wars: Hayden Christensen Watched Complete ‘The Clone Wars’ And ‘Rebels’ For His Return As Darth Vader

Hayden Christensen reprises his role as Darth Vader again in the most awaited Disney+ show “Star Wars: Obi-Wan-Kenobi”. Hayden played Darth Vader AKA Anakin Skywalker in the original prequel trilogy. The series will start where the third movie in the prequel trilogy, Revenge Of The Sith, ended. After 17 years the actor has finally returned home. The actor said returning to the character was a smooth transition and he enjoyed filming it. He prepared for the role thoroughly.

“I was just really excited to get to come in and play Darth Vader at this point in the timeline because it did feel like a natural continuation of your journey with the character. And that was very meaningful for me,” the actor said.

The “Shattered Glass” actor in an interview with the Entertainment Weekly said, “I went back and rewatched all the films. And I also got into the animated shows, The Clone Wars and Rebels.”

He further added, “It was interesting … They did a lot with these characters in those shows. And they did further explore the relationship. There was interesting stuff there to learn about. It was great fun getting to go back and re-immerse yourself in this world that just continues to grow and become vaster and vaster.”

The actor later said that it was a great honor to get to wear the suit again.

He went on to explain that his experience with the role made it simple for him to return to the part and that the show’s writers did a great job of making the tale feel natural.

These comments will undoubtedly pique fan interest in whether elements from either of these series could be brought to life for live-action adaptations. However, it appears that the actor preferred an overall and thorough preparation period before reprising the role, rather than diving into specific dynamics. Nevertheless, given the length of each series, his time spent watching the animated adventures will undoubtedly pay off in the future Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Fans have waited for so many years to see the characters come alive again. Hayden will play Darth Vader whereas Ewan McGregor will portray his old character as Obi-Wan-Kenobi. Fans are already excited and cannot wait any longer. The trailer of the series became a massive hit in just hours.

Christensen looked just as enthusiastic about the show as the viewers at home. He stressed that the “Star Wars” brand and community are far larger than he is and that the thrill of being on set in a galaxy far, far away never wears off.

“The whole experience was very surreal. Just the nature of coming back after all this time. It’s such a unique opportunity one that both Ewan and I were very grateful for,” Hayden said in an interview. “One of the things I loved so much about working on Star Wars projects is just that shared excitement. That everyone’s excited to be there. You feel that energy, and that’s a really special thing.”
