    “No means No!”- Cardi B Urges Everybody To Show Their Support To Sexual Assault Awareness Month

    Cardi B wants her fans to be safe and is promoting awareness about sexual misconduct. Cardi took to Twitter to voice her views about the issue. The rapper is supporting Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which occurs every April. For the same, she tweeted a thread on Thursday.

    Cardi is strongly encouraging her followers to speak up about sexual misconduct. She has asked them to not feel ashamed if they have ever experienced sexual misconduct. In her tweet, the Grammy winner asked her fans to not forget the sexual assault awareness month and share their experience before the end of April. She went on to say that it doesn’t matter what one wears or who one is.

    Cardi in her next thread shifts her focus to parents of young children. The singer is trying to encourage them to teach their children to talk and share with their family members about difficult situations they face. She went on to say that as parents, they must remember their children and their issues. Cardi shared there are sick people everywhere including in daycares and schools. The rapper has a 3-year-old daughter, Kulture, and a 7-month-old son, Wave with her rapper husband Offset. Cardi asks her fans to make sure that they start teaching their children about it at a young age. Following the publication of both tweets, fans responded with additional advice for children who may have been sexually assaulted.

    Why Is April 2022 Important For The People Who Have Experienced Sexual Misconduct?

    According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, April 2022 will mark the 21st anniversary of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This initiative focuses on both awareness and prevention of sexual assault, harassment, and abuse. Cardi and Offset spoke earlier this month about the reason for not revealing Wave’s name publicly. They cited internet backlash as a factor in their decision. Cardi said that they have gone through a lot of sad things when it comes to their daughter, Kulture. Hence, the couple wanted to hold off the reveal of Wave’s name because the couple wanted to protect their feelings from the sick people around.
