The ongoing feud between Walt Disney World and Florida Governer Ron DeSantis has tested all the limits of tolerance for Disney. DeSantis has repeatedly showed an intense willingness to fight unnecessary battles over the course of his decades-long political career.
But DeSantis’ decision to punish Disney World took the fight to another level. This is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations and one of Florida’s biggest private employers. DeSantis signed legislation on Friday stripping the theme park of a decades-old special agreement that allowed it to govern itself. This move came in as retribution for Disney’s criticism of “Don’t Say Gay” bill. In this restless situation, a Texas Judge has invited Disney to relocate from Florida.
The Warm Welcome Letter From Texas Judge
KP George, Fort Bend County Judge has addressed a warm welcome letter to Bob Chapek, CEO of Walt Disney Company. George invited the company to consider Fort Bend County as “a welcoming and diverse place to do business.”

The letter was dated April 21. It stated “While you and your company along with employees and diverse fans face authoritarian and anti-business and culture war attacks from extremists in Florida we in Fort Bend are more ready to welcome the Disney family with thousands of good-paying jobs and billions of dollars of investments.”
Fort Bend County: A Beautiful Place For Disney
According to George, Fort Bend County is a “unique place.” It borders Houston’s Harris County to the southwest. In this place, the residents and families “compose the most diverse county in the United States, deliver extremely high graduation rates, and are one of the top capita purchasers in Texas.”
“The county is strategically located for the most efficient distribution of goods domestically and internationally meanwhile including the best access to both inland and water ports in Texas,” the judge said.
“People here have a strong focus on economic development. We encourage small and large business growth through a business-friendly climate. We make a difference in our children’s lives every day through youth empowerment initiatives and aim to continue improving the quality of life through new, fresh and innovative ideas,” the Texas Judge said. “I invite you to visit Fort Bend County and see for yourself why our community is the best place for a new Walt Disney World Resort.”
Last but not the least, judge George described DeSantis as a “political extremist” in the copy of the letter he shared on Twitter.
Now let’s see if Disney world is actually planning to think about this relocation invitation given by the Texas Judge.
