We all are aware of the widely surfaced Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial. It continued for a time and is also part of the meme culture on the internet. Keeping up with the American trends ‘The Boys’ did it again. They incorporated an indirect pun on the Amber Heard during one of the scenes.

During ‘One-on-One with Haliey Miller‘, which is a talk show in the universe of the ‘The Boys‘, we see Deep giving an interview that was supposedly related to his ex-wife Cassandra Schwartz. The book ‘In Too Deep‘ which is the (go-to of Cassandra), narrates it has how she wanted to get away from Deep and how she managed to do so.

Deep refuses all the claims and calls them ‘racist’ despite it being the truth. He then calls Cassandra a disturbed woman and says, “…just a racist rumor, and a ridiculous lie, perpetuated by a jilted and emotionally unstable and hysterical woman. Who, let’s be clear, pooped in my bed”, which is similar to the allegations made between Amber and Johnny.

Character Development Of ‘Deep’ In The Series

The character of Deep is no longer living in the shadow of Homelander. He used to follow his commands in the previous seasons, but now it seems he has gained some confidence for good.

Upon being promoted by Sister Sage, Deep took a stand for himself by calling out Ashley Barrett in an aggressive manner, that she couldn’t talk to him the way she had been doing for a while. Moreover, Deep is considered to be the least useful member among the seven.

The new season is more focused on putting supes against humanity and making them above humans, which links us to Homelander’s declaration: “You’ll no longer be beloved celebrities. You will be wrathful Gods.”

It also seems that Deep has also chosen a side in the battle which could be concluded from the upcoming season 4, which is streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.
