Why Is Kanye West Receiving Vitriol For His New Ye24 Merchandise?

The year 2022 saw many musical milestones with new artists emerging on the scene and veterans gracing it with their comebacks. However, one artist who doomed his career by himself is Kanye West. The Atlanta rapper built a formidable career with his excellent production skills and immense creative force. But, this portfolio was crushed under the weight of West’s arrogance. In October 2022, he introduced his new Yeezy shirts on the Paris Fashion Week runway which caused an uproar inside and outside the industry.

The rapper printed ‘White Lives Matter’ on the shirts mocking the African American ‘Black Lives Matter movement. Later on, while he was defending his disastrous fashion statement, he mocked and offended the Jewish community by hurling ‘anti-Semitic’ comments and threats at them. Ye got outcast from the fashion industry. So, he decided to shift his hate with his political campaign, where he introduced his merchandise which has invited heat from a lot of people.

In November 2022, Kanye West teased his 2024 election campaign with several visuals on Twitter. Along with Nick Fuentas, he went to former President Donald Trump’s residence ‘Mar-a-Lago’. Ye wanted Trump to be his running mate after the 2020 failed attempt. But, Trump vehemently dissed the idea and he is running separately as the Republican candidate.

Along with visuals, he introduced merchandise with his campaign logo ‘Ye24’. In an interview, he confirmed that the merchandise is rebranded from the Adidas and Balenciaga deal which is now defunct. He told me that he will be selling them for $20 per piece.

But, all his dreams were trampled after the ‘InfoWars’ interview with Alex Jones, which was one of the most disgraceful acts of 2022. Elon Musk restored Ye’s account, but after December 2nd, 2022, he suspended him again from Twitter.

The ‘Donda’ rapper uploaded a picture on Twitter where a swastika was embedded in David’s star. The symbol belongs to a UFO Religion, which wants to retain the status of Swastika and own it. Claude Varilhon founded the cult called Raëlism.

But, West is at it again! He seems to not learn from the Paris Fashion Week debacle. After hurting the African American community, he launched new shirts with a Swastika symbol between stars. Kanye has not directly implied any context, but the subtext screams that it is to offend the Jewish community and continue his love for the Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler.

A Twitter user @FarAway And Cozy uploaded a picture of two models wearing the new merchandise. He captioned it “Iconic”. However, there are Twitter users who have hailed the design and others have vehemently opposed the new apparel design.

One of the users took a jibe at the models asking them whether they are aware that they have jeopardized their careers.

Kanye seems to be following his own mind, but how much hatred and prejudices can the people take? His fanbase, unsurprisingly, has crumbled, and so has his credibility and net worth in the music industry.
